Cathy Leogrande is a Professor in the Teacher Education Department of the Purcell School of Professional Studies at Le Moyne College, a Jesuit college in New York. Her teaching and research focus on new literacies and popular culture to provide K-12 teachers skills to address issues of race, class, gender, and disability. She has written and presented on the Potter series for over 10 years and teaches several courses based on the Potter series.
